Little Offerings
Upon the first day of the week,
The Apostle Paul did say,
"Let every one of you by him,
In store, his offering lay."
Although a mite, t'will be received,
By Him who rules in love;
And he who has a heart to give,
His treasure lays above.
There, moth and rust cannot corrupt,
There, thieves cannot destroy,
And he who has his treasure there.
Will endless bliss enjoy.
God loveth those, that cheerful give,
Of what is lent them here;
And trust the promise of his word,
To reap a harvest there.
Come, Children, then, come one and all,
Your little offerings bring,
Into the storehouse true, that you,
Eternal Life may win.
